Jeanne Carver, Shaniko Wool Co., Maupin, OR, is at the forefront of an economic and rural revival, helping rebuild the importance of traditional skills, connections to the origins of food and fiber, and strengthening local, regional and domestic supply chain partners.   • 11 AM - Keynote “Utilizing Locally-Sourced and Sustainable Materials in the Fashion Industry” with Mimi Prober

Designer Mimi Prober’s aesthetic vision integrates the artistry of the past to establish a sustainable future. New York-based and a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, she has received acclaim for her collection and philosophy, as well as her holistic and sustainable approach to design. Translating her personal and professional passions into pioneering sustainability in the industry through preservation and process within her signature collection.

The Excellence in Leadership Award is given annually inrecognition of a member whose efforts havecontributed to the success of the HVTP through their leadership and service. Presented by Cecilia Tkaczyk, CeCe’s Wool.

  • 1:10 PM - HVTP Updates, Accomplishments, and Plans for the Future, Part II
