  • KNITTING BY HEART

Decades in the making, KNITTING BY HEART by Renate Hiller and Mikae Toma, presents a living process of creation that can spark new ways of working for knitters at all levels. Inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), who sought to bring together practical and spiritual life in manifold ways, this is more than a pattern book or a manual of technique.
In an era of fast fashion and digital overwhelm, KNITTING BY HEART arrives as a soulful invitation to slow down, create with purpose, and reconnect to the ancient rhythm of handwork.

The Cure All Salve is our go-to for dry patches, chapped hands, heels, lips, minor burns, scars, and scratches. The star ingredient is lanolin, the same protective barrier that's been keeping skin soft for generations. Blended with shea butter, coconut oil, calendula-infused jojoba oil, and rosehip seed oil so it spreads easier than straight lanolin but still does the work. Lightly scented with essential oils. Not formulated with water, so a little goes a long way.

  • Wool Sponges and Dish Cloths

Why use imported fossil fibers when you could use wool?

These sponges and dish cloths make a great gift for the wool lover in your life, or the relative who seems to have everything. They are 100% wool, lather well and always smell fresh. Rinse, dry flat, reuse....for weeks or months! Wash stains out with soap; pop in the dishwasher for an occasional deep soak. Compost if available.

These sponges and dish cloths are made from sustainable wool which is a renewable resource from farms raising lamb. While these producers' main mission is to feed the people, we are happy to step in and put this wooly by-product to use.

We've collected waste wool from our local farms in the New England and New York Fibershed regions. We skirt the wool (which means remove the hay and other unmentionables) then have it washed, carded and felted. You will know this is an authentic Fibershed product by the few flecks of hay in each package.
