Did you know wool fiber provides slow-release of nitrogen back to soil promoting soil health? Wool fiber also absorbs excess water and will slow-release water back to soil Our wool fertilizer pellets are a convenient way to incorporate the benefits of wool fiber into soil mixes or apply directly to your garden bed. You can also add these pellets to your compost pile to promote the correct level of moisture.

Hudson Valley Textile Project wool pellets are made from waste wool generated at our Clean Fleece facility.

The pellets are convenient to incorporate into soil mixes or apply directly to the garden.

  • Mix into potting soil and it provides slow release nitrogen and water holding capacity

  • Add it to your compost pile to promote the right moisture level

  • Put some in your planting holes when you plant seedlings, split perennials or plant trees for conservation practices

  • Reduces watering - holds up to 20 times its weight in water

  • Aerates soil and improves soil texture

  • Sequesters carbon- Slow nitrogen release

This all natural fertilizer has a NPK profile of 9-0-2 (generous nitrogen, virtually no phosphorus, and small amounts of potassium). Important features of wool fertilizer pellets:
